Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Nutrition Loop has no sign-up, no password, and never asks for your name, email address or phone number. You can use it the moment you install it.
How many analyses do I get?
Three free analyses in total, and a maximum of two on any given day. Premium raises the daily limit to three. The daily cap is deliberate — the app is built around reading a report properly rather than running lots of them.
Why doesn’t it ask how much I ate?
By design. You list the ingredients and the report tells you the portions to aim for, rather than asking you to weigh or estimate what you already ate. Protein figures are estimates based on typical servings, and each report states the assumptions it made.
How do I turn on personalised analysis?
Settings → Personalised analysis → Turn on personalised analysis. You will be asked to read what is processed and to tick a consent box. Until you do, no health information is collected and every meal is analysed on general nutritional merit.
How do I withdraw consent for health personalisation?
Settings → Personalised analysis → Manage consent → Withdraw consent. We stop sending your health information immediately, delete the profile stored on your device, and return you to generic analysis. The app keeps working exactly as before.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, not by us. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions. There is also a shortcut in the app under Settings → Subscription.
I paid but the app still shows me as free
Access is confirmed with the App Store or Play Store, which can take up to a minute. Reopen the app, and if it still shows free, use Restore purchases in Settings. If that does not work, email us with the store you bought from and roughly when.
An analysis failed or the app says it can’t reach the server
Ingredient search works offline, but generating a report needs a connection. If it persists, Settings shows whether the analysis server is reachable — include what it says when you write to us.
Is this medical advice?
No. Nutrition Loop teaches nutrition. It does not diagnose, treat or manage any condition, and it will never suggest changing a medication. Where a health condition is relevant it explains how the food interacts with it, so you can take that to a qualified clinician.
Privacy and your data
The privacy policy covers what is collected, what never leaves your device, and who receives what. In short: there are no accounts, health personalisation is optional and off by default, and your health profile is never stored in our database.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything held on your device, including your meal history and any health profile. You can also reset your profile from Settings at any time. Our own records are tied only to an anonymous identifier; if you would like them deleted, email us and we will do it.
